We decided to take a quick beach trip with the Hubers to celebrate Rob turning 40. We headed to Orange Beach on Thursday morning.
The minute we got there the kids hit the ground running. They played volleyball, racquetball, basketball & tennis.
We played volleyball everyday.
Racquetball was a big hit.
Dolphins swam so close to shore. They were jumping & playing. It was fun to watch.
Rob, Nick & the kids had to build a seating area. This has become a tradition every time we go to the beach. It had a couch & several chairs. They made stairs to enter at one end.

My sweet girl is such a beach girl. She loves the water, waves & sand. She would stay out there all day if you would let her. She must get that from me. =)

I taught the kids how to play spoons. They had a blast. We had to move to the patio because as everyone knows spoons is a dangerous game and with a glass table we weren't taking any chances.
Nick & Nicole went to Shrimp Fest and the rest of us went to play putt putt.

The kids decided they wanted to go parasailing. I was excited for them because I have always wanted to go but been to scared. I was torn about going with them. It cost $25 to ride as an observer. They didn't act nervous or seem to care if I went so I decided to let them go alone. I was planning to buy the picture cd when they returned. When they came back we found out they didn't take any pictures. I was heartbroken but the kids had a blast. I am proud of them for going out and doing it on their own.

Since this was Rob's trip & I know how much he loves (LOL) pictures I decided to forgo beach pictures. This was the only family pic I took.
We had so much fun. It was a much needed break. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my family & the beach so this was a perfect trip. I am so thankful for this time with friends & my family!
